CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR

FEBRUARY ATHLETES OF THE MONTH!

FEBRUARY ATHLETES OF THE MONTH

ABE GLOSSNER, Varsity Boys Soccer

Head Coach Dale Wiggins: Abe is a sophomore and has done an outstanding job as one of my most versatile players. I can confidently have him on the field in all defensive, midfield and attacking positions. He always wants to learn and puts out his best effort in games and in practice. I appreciate his love of soccer and the positive effect he has by being a great teammate. I greatly look forward to his return next year.

KIELY HAMILTON-PAYNE, Senior, Varsity Girls Soccer

Head Coach Mario Perez: Kiely Hamilton-Payne has been an important member of the Girls Varsity Soccer team for the past three years. She is a talented, caring athlete who gives 100% of herself to her teammates during practices and games. She demonstrates good character, sportsmanship and a positive attitude making her an excellent candidate for Student-Athlete of the Month. Kiely works hard to maintain her grades and demonstrates good leadership qualities as a captain of her soccer team. She supports and encourages her teammates and leads by example. Most recently, in the middle of a crucial game, Kiely selflessly volunteered to takeover as the goalkeeper when our starting goalkeeper was injured. She calmly reassured her troubled teammates and helped guide them to victory. She is a true team player and is well-liked by her teammates, teachers and coaches.

AUSTIN D’ACQUISTO, Sophomore, JV Boys Soccer

Head Coach Tony Soltero: Austin is always holding the line! I think he is solid in his conduct and play. He has a great ability to read the offense and keep the opposing team from attacking our goal. Austin has improved so much over the season, and is described as polite, calm, and collected.

WILL COSTICK, Sophomore, JV Boys Basketball

Head Coach Scott Holmes: Throughout the season Will Costick has been an emotional leader, keeping the team energy high.  Whether he is in the game or on the bench, his happy and positive attitude constantly inspires his teammates.  Will not only is a team leader emotionally but was a strong player in the game averaging 6.6 rebounds a game and being a strong defensive force.  In the last game of the season and a must win for the league championship, Will had his best game.  He led the team in scoring with 17 points and had 9 rebounds securing a win for the team. Will’s leadership and attitude makes him a great person, player, and teammate!
